Stem : Hollow ball knop enclosing a silver four pence piece dated 1839 above a blade knop and two flattened ball knops
Foot : star cut on underside

Weight: A hefty 519 grams
This is a classic example of why the date of a coin embedded within a glass has little significance other that it being the earliest date at which the glass may have been manufactured. This is most likely to have been made around the time of Victoria’s golden jubilee
