This is not a Bimini glass. Bimini used lead free crystal and the bowls of all their glasses are very thinly blown and very light. This is far more robust and eminently more useable than Bimini wares. We thought that this may be Lauscha Germany who produced their own Bimini inspired glass or possibly Orplid glass. founded by Fritz Lampl ( ex-Bimini) after he fled Austria for life in England.

Many thanks to our customer for Mr G Woodley for directing us to an image on page 178 of 20th Century British Glass – Charles R Hajdamach. This states that the glass was designed by William Swingewood for Stevens & Williams. We have no primary verification.

This is one of the first first two lead glass examples we have encountered.
