There were a number of French factories producing opalescent glass during the interwar period. Simonet. Hunebelle. Martel. Dieupart. Ferjac being the lesser known amongst the majors such as Lalique. Sabino. Verlys and Etling. This was clearly produced for export to the English speaking world.
The majority of producers marked their pieces and the designs were also quite distinctive. We have seen these being sold as Etling and we doubt this to be the case. the George Beal designs are predominantly low relief botanical designs. Both the Daniolo and Cesare manufactories rarely marked their pieces and produced glassware for Liberty and other retailers. This passes the make sense test however this is an entirely inadequate basis on which to make an attribution.
