Bowl Features : Inverted bell shaped body with disc-shaped foot; cut with geometric patterns and engraved with a floral posy. both elements repeat six times to cover the surface of the vase

Condition : Excellent – no chips. cracks. or flakes; some tiny bubble inclusions from manufacture and mossing to the foot-rim. entirely commensurate with age

Additional Information : This piece is very representative of the Haida and Steinschönau ‘Glasfachschule’ designs from which many pieces were produced by Johannes Oertel’s manufactory in Haida. which was the contemporary German name for the town now known as Nový Bor in the extreme north of the Czech Republic
