Notes: A stunning example of Otto Prutscher’s work. with a design which has it foundations deeply-seated in the influence of his mentor. Josef Hoffman. The geometric. architectural mindset of both men is clearly evident. from the heavy. industrial chain-like stem to the near-gothic tracery around the bowl. Prutscher also worked with metal. leather and – to a lesser extent – textiles; one can imagine how effortlessly these same inferences could be made across such diverse media.
