This was done to meet the resurgent demand for 17th and 18th century glass that could not be met by antique examples. The market was supplied by retailers such as Selfridge. Liberty and Morris and Co. These pale green wine. or specifically “hock” glasses are now antiques in their own right but were stylised versions of Dutch and German glass from the 16th and 17th centuries.
