Cider was first taxed in Britain in 1763. the ensuing riots resulted in the act being repealed in 1766. Since then cider was always taxed at a lowe rate. We are advised that such glasses were made to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the West Country riots. I wonder if any will be engraved when nd if article 50 is revoked.
