It never ceases to amaze me how much cut glass is completely misattributed and almost invariably to Ireland. Pieces with 32 point uniform star cut bases all seemingly Waterford and early 19th century. Most cut glass is too good to be Irish. The best cutters in the early 19th century were based in the North West of England.
