These are frequently misattributed. A major auction house recently sold a ruby glass example as being "Regency 1810". Many of the major English factories had lines of Georgian glass in the 1920s and 1930s. Note the rounded edge to the lip, the concave lip, the thickened base, the absolute uniformity of the cutting and the clear bright glass. Also note the thickness of the mushroom stopper, it is not concave on the underside.

This remains a magnificent decanter but Georgian it is not.
