Description
A 20th century vintage Whisky Glass which has acid etched ferns around the bowl and the words ‘THE LAST DROP’ and a hanged man engraved on the base. by an amateur. The etched pattern is typical for 1890-1920.
Similar Glasses are known from the regency with people swinging from the gibbet and executioners. Rather than this being some grizzly commemorative it is in fact just a glass for a proposition bet. “ I bet you cannot drink the last drop from this glass”.
Nice quirky glass with no chips cracks or restoration which measures 3 ½ inches tall and 3 3/8 inches in diameter.
