Founded in 1816 by landlords and merchants who sold beer. wines and spirits but for whom “Temperance” was a virtue. The Lodge was “erased” in 2003 due to falling membership. The question that must be asked . why would those who advocated temperance require a firing glass. In the latter years of its existence the brothers of the Lodge of Temperance voted to modify the constitution to permit the consumption of alcohol!

Too little too late.
