Additional Information : The tankard was made during the short period of Edward VIII reign between the date of his intended coronation being announced his abdication. He was succeeded by his younger brother Albert (George VI) who was crowned on May 12th 1937. Thomas Goode and Co are still operating from South Audley Street in Mayfair.
This was when The 'Spare' became not just the heir and didn't need to write a book bemoaning his lot.
