Date : The oak box is early 20th century William IV revival. The decanters are interwar
Period : 1900-1940
Origin : The bottles are Stourbridge. The lock is a late Victorian Samuel Hall Patent lock.
Decoration : Sarcophogus shaped. the interior has a velvet base and six divisions formed by a wooden frame. Acanthus type ormolu handles. Six lead crystal pint decanters with fitted ball stoppers.

Condition : Good. One bottle has a small chip one a canted corner. Working lock and key
Restoration : This has evolved over a number of years. The escutcheon plate has been replaced and the hinges.
Weight : 1165 grams
Although this is a hybrid it is functional and decoative with good sculptural form. The property of a Man of Kent.
