Description
A Josephinehutte green and white opaque twist glass c1920
We have had their Schnapps glasses with an identical twist before. According to records the glass was designed by Franz Pohl in 1890 . This example is early 1920s when there was a resurgence in interest in earlier glass. A huge funnel bowl and plain foot. the stem has a six ply spiral band around a two pairs of light and dark green tapes.
It stands a stunning 10 3/8th inches tall with a 3 1/2 inch bowl and a 4 inch foot and holds a third of a bottle of white wine with ease. red woud look too gaudy! Will adorn the festive table
One definitely to be used.
