Bowl Features : Engraved with crown and laurel ‘GR’ and ‘MR’ ‘1910 – 1935’. King George V and Queen Mary. Royal Standard with a crown and roses above. below are thistles. shamrocks and leeks.
Stem : Hollow coin knop
Stem Features : Hollow knop contains a silver token hallmarked and dated 1935 with the figure heads depicting King George V & Queen Mary
Foot : Square base
Pontil : Polished with acid etched ‘T. Goode & Co. London 1935’
Glass Type : Lead
Size : 4 7/8 inches tall with a 3 13/16 inch bowl and 3 inch foot   
Condition : Excellent. no chips or cracks

Thomas Goode of South Audley Street. Mayfair has been a highly prestigious retailer of tableware since the Regency.  It has supplied monarchs from Queen Victoria to the Tsars of Russia and continues to do so today. When this was made fo the jubilee in 1935 nobody could have predicted the constitutional crisis that would arise following his death in 1936.
