The deceptive bowl has an outer chamber which is filled from the foot and sealed with a cork. The user may then separately fill the bowl of the glass in the usual manner.
It could have been used for two or more reasons. namely playing a party trick on guests or for a simple proposition bet wagering against the unknowing drinking the entire contents.
