Eric Knowles Comments

The maker of this handsome decanter and stopper has proved problematic whilst the suggestion of Hill Ousten is admittably tenuous and based upon their substantial output of Georgian style glass reproductions together with the near identical use of the same form of single ring and trumpet neck used upon a clear glass decanter of conical shape that appears in the company's 1934 catalogue See Hadjamach Charles B, 20th Century British glass page 406 plate 371.Whoever the maker this is a most stylish piece.
