Foot : Flat with broad, polished pontil

Size :   15.5 cm tall 9.24 cm diameter at the widest point
Condition : Excellent; no chips, cracks or flakes; a very few tiny air bubbles at the surface and a single 6mm scratch on the shoulder; mossing to the rim of the base
Restoration : None
Weight : 363 g

Note : Generally, this kind of purple, bronzed iridescent glass would be attributed to Thomas Webb, but their examples were made exclusively on an emerald green base, and this is very definitely of an amethyst hue; Heckert & Rade made similar pieces but on an amethyst ground
