A Lund-style double column rack and pinion corkscrew of steel construction with turned handles. The sharp point. good length worm (4.5cm) and good mechanical condition make this Edwardian corkscrew eminently usable in the 21st century.
A wire worm screw of good length and diameter is always preferable. particularly when opening older wines as they provide better purchase and less stress to the cork.
