Foot : Hexagonal pedestal base with a step and a raised circular well above
Pontil : Hollow opening

Note the seams in the stem from producion. Early 18th century casting brasses had a higher zinc content than later examples and this results in a brighter more honeyed colour. There are many examples within the Victoria and Albert museum and all are at the earlier end of the date range we have given
