Ladle : Embossed festoons and pendants with the initials A.G.E. and a Geo. Twisted stem and whalebone handle.

Additional Information : Used to serve toddy from a serving rummer or punch bowl and ideal for warming brandy. The twisted whalebone handle affords a better grip. The date on the coin is merely a terminus date. The neocalsical decoration was fashionable from the 1760s until the early 19th century. However coins would fall out of circulation and George III became King in 1760. It is a relatively safe assumption that this was made before 1770.
