Decoration : The cover is hammered copper with a hammered effect riveted brass handle. The base has four flared feet with copper scroll terminals and these are supported by polished brass mouldings that are riveted at each corner and are pierced with hearts. The longest panels have blue. green. and silver enamel Ruskin roundels set within brass riveted portholes. We have been unable to find any similar examples and this is not unusual in that such items were artisan made and are frequently one offs.
