Heading : A Large Regency Fiddle Pattern Sterling Silver Serving Spoon – 1817
Date : Hallmarked in London 1817 for Thomas Wilkes Barker
Period : Regency – George III
Origin : London. England

Decoration : Plain other than an engraved heraldic device to the face of the handle showing “a ram’s head erased. charged with an inverted chevron”. placed on a torse; this would seem to be the crest apportioned to the Ram family hailing from County Wexford in Ireland.
Size :  29.9 cm in length; bowl 5.4cm wide
Condition : Excellent; one tiny dent approx 2mm wide to the bowl
Restoration : None
Weight :  110 grams (just over 3½ troy ounces)
