London, England

The scratchweight denotes that this was 25 troy ounces and thirteen pennyweights (0.65) when the scrtachweight was applied in 1762. Ignoring the possibility that thethe weight when taken was inaccurate then this has lost  1.35 troy ounces since 1762. That equates to 0.16 grams per annum. Silver oxidises and when cleaned weight is lost every time.
