Heading : Five piece Sheffield silver tea set
Date : Hallmarked in 1912 in Sheffield for William Hutton & Sons Ltd.

Decoration : Each piece has panel flanks. The kettle stand has acanthus leaf feet. All other pieces with pedestal feet. Kettle. teapot. and coffee pot all have dark wooden handles.
Size : Kettle approx 26cm lenght. 35.4cm height when on stand. Coffee pot 20.5cm height 24.5cm handle to spout. Tea pot 27.3cm handle to spout 17.5cm height. Sugar bowl 17.7cm width. 12.5cm height. Cream jug 11cm handle to spout. 12.9cm height.
Condition : 1 small impression to the flank of the teapot and the same to the coffee pot. Otherwise excellent.
Restoration : Professionally cleaned and treated to retard tarnishing.
Weight : 2742 grams ( approximately 88 troy)
A highly unusual set that of a kind we haven’t sold before. The kettle stands atop a stand wherein is placed a small burner to be filled with methylated spirit and lit to heat the water.
