Decoration : Reeded belly. Acanthus leaf at tip of spout. Scroll thumb rest. Engraved with the Essart ( Izzard) family crest and two hunting dogs
Size :  Height 10.4cms. Handle to spout 21cms
Condition : Very good. There is a very small ding in the reeding as shown. The handle is rigid, the hinge is good and the cover fits well with very little play. No leaks
Restoration : Professionally cleaned to a "butlers finish"
Weight :  344g, 11.0 troy

The anglicised version of Essart became Izzard during the 16th / 17th century. We can only think of one person called Izzard , the comic genius Mr "le sange est dans l'arbre" himself. We are sure he will be touch presently.
