Date : Hallmarked in Sheffield in 1932 for Mappin and Webb

Decoration : Ivory handles and finial to both the teapot and the kettle. Twin scrolled handle tea bowl. Footed cream jug. All pieces have pie crust rims and there is acanthus leaf detailing to the teapot and the kettle. The kettle has four applied cast daisy-like feet which are at the bottom of double c scrolled legs.
Size : Tallest 34cm with kettle mounted on stand. widest 26.5cm
Condition : Good. there are two small compressions on the kettle. The teapot has one small compression as does the creamer and sucrier. otherwise just fine scratches.

This is a truly stunning tea set. It combines simple elegance with little extravegent flourishes in the detailing. It is also of a excellent gauge
