Rare Hallmarked Peze Pilleau George II Silver Toddy Ladle 1743

Heading : Georgian sterling silver toddy ladle 
Date : Hallmarked in 1743 for Pezé Pilleau in London.

Decoration : Scalloped double pouring rim. Rope twist handle with twisted baleen, silver finial. 
Size :  35cmx8.7cm
Condition : Excellent, no dings a little scuffing to the bone part of the handle. 
Restoration : None
Weight : 47 grams 

The Hugenot Peze Pilleau is very highly regarded amongst collectors

This is only the second fully hallmarked example that we have offered for sale. Many have coins embedded in the base of the bowl from the reign of a previous king or marriage dates, however, rarely do that carry makers name, assay office, standard and date marks.
