Excellent gauge. at just shy of 1 troy oz this label has a very satisfying weight to it. It may seem unusual nowadays to decant champagne however one must remember that in the 18th and 19th centuries bottles did not carry labels and this would simply denote the contents of the bottle. hence the term ‘bottle ticket’ or bottle label
