A very usable pair of Georgian silver wine coasters with turned walnut bases.  Each coaster is engraved with the Clan Keith crest, a hind's head and the motto 'Vincit Veritas', 'Truth conquers'. The Earl Marischal of Scotland no less charged with the safety of the King of Scotland when within parliament and one of the most illustrious of all clans. Despite their Norman ancestry they were staunch Jacobites.
