Such is the quality of the painting in the early 19th century and as both John Twitchett and in the 19th century John Haslem agree that ‘there was a family likeness in the style of the floral painters of this period’. Consequently it is difficult to offer a definitive attribution to whoever was responsible for being the relevant artist . See Derby Porcelain Twitchett J Page240 plate316
