Marks :Red painted Crown above crossed batons and cursive ‘D’. The teapot painted on the underside – iron red – ‘In Italy’ and ‘In Scotland’; the oval stand with matching marks and titled ‘Near Binbrook. Lincolnshire’.
Origin : Derby. England
Colour :Polychrome images within reserves. and profusely gilded (matching pattern to both pieces)
Pattern : Well-painted with figures placed in their respective landscapes very much in the manner of Daniel Lucas Snr
Features: The teapot and cover of silver form. and set on ball feet
Condition :Teapot with a meandering. discoloured but stable crack through the body. confined to one lower corner; minimal gilt loss; fired-on dirt to the underplate base rim
