There were many notable artists painting vibrant flroral designs other than William Pegg. Thomas Steele and  Leonard Lead being the amongst the better known. James Turner painted Derby porcelains within the Sims workshop in London. This is most probably by Leonard Lead but when porcelain is so beautiful attribution seems to be of little importance.

We have received the following notification from a direct descendent

You might be interested to know that we have a very similar plate by Leonard Lead (1788-1869) in the family.”

Best wishes.
