Porcelain imports from Japan dwindled from 1725 to 1745. Cheaper Chinese imports were available via the East India Company (VOC). The patterns were obviously very popular with the gentry and Worcester and other manufactories took it upon themselves to copy the patterns. The Japan fan pattern and old Mosaic (or Mosaick) patterns. Queens pattern. rich Queens pattern . the brocade pattern and others are all direct copies of Arita imports.
This is not entirely original. however. it remains one of my favorite patterns.
