Colour : Blue and white. powder blue ground decorated in the fan-panelled landscape pattern
Size : 2.8 cm tall and 20.7 cm in diameter
Condition : Excellent; there are some tiny uneven patches around the rim. and one or two very small areas of discoloured kiln spit on the underside of the lip; a little roughness to the bottom of the foot rim in places; two burst glaze bubbles. some pinpricks and one x 70mm scratch to the lip and well – the latter being vertically across the central. circular panel

Note : The Fan-Panelled Landscape pattern appears on pieces from Worcester. Bow and Caughley. and as well as the subtle variations from one manufacturer to another. there are also differences apparent on pieces nominally from the same source. This piece. for instance – with its marks being consistent with a Worcester derivation – has a rock in the foreground of the central. circular image – other examples may have a sampan instead
