Eric Knowles Comments : Otherwise known as a water bottle. the name ‘guglet’ is derived from the same stem as ‘gargoyle’ and ‘gurgle’. which both – in turn – have common ancestry meaning both ‘throat’ and the noise of water being poured from. flowing through or being ‘gargled’ in an appropriate vessel or conduit !
