SOLD- Worcester Mosaic Pattern Trio 1775

A first period Worcester trio in the mosaic pattern. The Worcester auction catalogue of 1769 refers to this as the “old rich mosaic Japan pattern”. a little too long winded methinks.

This is without doubt based on one of the Arita kakiemon patterns from earlier in the 18th century. imported by the VOC. the Dutch East India Company.

The saucer has a firing crack that has been stabilised otherwise it is in good order. a few minor scratches to the decoration on the saucer. Both cups are in excellent condition
