Description
This is a Flight and Barr cup and saucer decorated with hop or vine leaves.
The decoration is directly analogous to many an ale glass that we have seen over the years. Both pieces carry the incised “B” mark (used from 1792 to 1807).
The cup has a ring handle that has lost none of its gilding. The cup has a typical Worcester “stepped” profile and a similar example may be found in Berthouds p64 plate 379. The base wear rim of the cup has a very small chip as shown in the photograph. This does not affect the display quality in any way.
