Eric Knowles Comments
Although unmarked this mug is unquestionably Worcester from the Flight and Barr period and for a pair of mugs of identical form and circa 1795 see: Flight and Barr Worcester Porcelain 1783-1840, Sandon Henry page 41 plate 25 and page 52, colour plate featuring a single example in the former Dyson Perrins Museum, and now the Museum of Worcester Porcelain, painted by Thomas Baxter and featuring his own silhouette on the front whilst inscribed 'Sept,1814'
