Gilded roses with puce acanthus leaves and red foliage and flowers within a gilded band

Features: Bute shaped teacup and can shape coffee cup. hand painted with a floral pattern and highlighted with gilding.
SizeTeacup: 5.7cm tall by 10.3cm. Coffee can: 6.6 tall by 8.8cm in diameter both including the handles. Saucer: 13.8cm in diameter
Condition: Minor wear to the gilding from use as shown. A little discolouration in the glaze in the base of the coffee can and tea cup

The handles are a typical Spode loop form. Michael Berthold dates the pattern 1805-1806 and this is entirely consistent with the form and vibrant polychrome regency decoration
