Colour : White and polychrome with a green rim
Features : A wonderful hand painted flower (Possibly by Pardoe)with a moulded floral rim
Size : 3.8cm tall by 26.3cm long and 19.4cm wide
Condition : Very good. grazing to the rim as shown. some enamel on the rim has flaked

Longton Hall produced dishes with moulded rims from 1750. This style was soon adopted by Bow and Derby and more elaborate mouldings were also used by Spode and Coalport in the early 19th century. The great monsonia engraved by Curtis appears in theBotanical Magazine.  a source of inspiration for many decorators such as Brewer. Pardoe and others at Derby and beyond.

Pardoe did decorate at both Swansea and later at Bristol. We do not believe this to be his work but it is contemporary.
