Eric Knowles Comments. These Billingsley roses . the manner in which the enamel within the rose petals has been removed in a graduated manner to reveal the glaze beneath is typical of his style. For an almost identical composition attributed to Billingsley albeit on a Derby porcelain plate circa 1795 See: Swansea Porcelain Shapes and Decoration.
