Pattern : Winter. from the four seasons group. sits on top of a stack of logs warming his hands over a brazier.
Condition : Glaze nibble to the logs. firing crack next to brazier
Restoration : A small area of restoration to the tip of his left shoe. Another chip has been filled to the left side of the hem of Winter’s coat.
Dimensions : 13.4cm height
Weight : 504 grams
This is the earlier version of winter usually found in blanc de chine. Note the absence of the later pedestal base and the inclusion of a walking stick. Also note the undecorated white pad base that was little used after 1756
