Additional Information : An iconic piece of design. The factory produced racecar teapots from 1930s until the begining of the second world war when prodution changed to aid the war effort. It resumed after the war. The base has the ribbon printed backstamp used from the late 1930s to 1948/49 and impressed design registration number 820236.
Much of the potteries went the same way as glass making in Stourbridge. Sadlers was no exception. They spent many years fighting soaring energy and labour costs only to be defeated by Chinese imports of pottery and porcelain.
