Colour : Imari-style ‘Old Japan’ pattern in gilt. cobalt blue. iron red. puce and pale green
Pattern : The saucer and tea cup match. but the coffee can is a subtly different version of the same basic design; similar pieces were made by a number of different manufactories – this marriage is likely to be of Chamberlain-Worcester and Coalport versions.
Condition : Excellent – no flakes. cracks or chips; very slight roughness to the foot-rims entirely commensurate with age. and loss to the gilding; there is also a small. errant blob of gold enamel towards the base of the tea cup
