Thomas Wolfe manufactured pottery in Stoke on Trent from 1784 in his own factory and in partnership with the Spode factory. In 1790 he opened a china works in the town. He later went onto form partnerships with the Islington china works in Liverpool. Firstly with John davenport and then with Miles Mason and John Lucock. Finally a partnership with his son in law Robert Hamiliton.
