Eric Knowles Comments
The cup and handle feature in Coalport and Coalbrookdale Porcelains (1970) by Geoffrey A Godden Plate 41 attributed to Anstice. Horton and Thomas Rose. However this attribution appears to be questioned by Michael Berthoud in his Compendium of British Cups (1990) page 34. Plate 201. that features the identical handle on a Bute shape teacup and describes the same as ‘This class of wares were formerly attributed to Thomas Rose’
The colours used and their combination is typical of Coalport. For another example in our extensive stock see Product No 20050113.
