Pattern :Both with oval appliques modelled in white with allegorical figures. the cover with radiating acanthus and button finial with floret detail
Features : The jug and cover interior fitted with a strainer
Condition :The Low Jug interior with hairline crack mostly masked on the exterior by the central applique
Restoration :None
Dimensions : Jug with cover height 19.5cms

The partnership of James Chetham and Richard Woolley  bodywas established in Longton. Staffordshire in 1795. Together they were responsible for developing a new semi-transparent ceramic body they termed Feldspathic Stoneware. The Chetham and Woolley factory is now recognised for holding an important reputation in the Staffordshire ceramics industry as a result of Colin Wymans 2011 publication published by the Antique Collectors Club (ISBN 978 1 85149 638 90)
