Eric Knowles Comments:
Anji Davenport admits to forever being a country girl having been raised upon her parents Woodside Farm in Cheshire and the farmer seated in the red tractor is her father. Gordon Davenport. Prior to this Cobridge Stoneware offering Anji Davenport had launched her now much celebrated ‘Woodside Farm’ range for Moorcroft. the larger pieces of which featured a Barn Owl in flight and a pair of Foxes within a snowscape depicting distant and recently lit farmhouse and all beneath a dramatic late afternoon sky of red/pink. yellow and blue. As with all designers at Moorcroft Anji continues to benefit from a loyal following of collectors and justly so.
