This vase represents Royal Doulton’s efforts to offer designs that show an empathy with both the established Arts and Crafts and emerging Art Deco influences. Florence Roberts was one of the company’s longest serving employees having joined in 1879 and eventually retiring in 1930 and thereby witnessing the golden age of the Lambeth Studios.
